Carlos Garcia
Dr. Carlos Garcia, DBH, LCSW, is a bilingual behavioral health clinician, clinical supervisor, and educator specializing in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Originally from Mexico City, Dr. Garcia brings both professional expertise and lived experience as an immigrant to his work with Latino, immigrant, and first-generation families.
Dr. Garcia earned his Doctor of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His clinical specialties include trauma, attachment, relationships, and neurodivergence across individuals, couples, and families. He has extensive experience across behavioral health, child welfare, family systems, and community-based care, including more than six years of experience in child welfare.
His doctoral work focused on developing culturally responsive ADHD care pathways for Latino families in primary care. Drawing from his clinical practice, research, cultural background, and lived experience, Dr. Garcia developed the BRIDGE Model, a practical framework designed to help behavioral health professionals move beyond language access toward deeper cultural understanding, engagement, and connection with Latino, immigrant, and first-generation families.
Dr. Garcia is passionate about helping clinicians bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and the lived realities of the individuals and families they serve. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Garcia enjoys traveling, staying active through running and cycling, and spending meaningful time with his family.
